Nicolas Lamas (b. Lima, 1980) currently live and works in Gent, Belgium. Lamas' work comes from the interest and mistrust in constructed perceptions, which are considered belong to a “natural order” and constantly build our imaginary through a systematized knowledge. Lamas studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and at the School of Fine Arts of the Universitat of Barcelona, where he obtained his degree in 2005. He has participated in various group shows in Peru and abroad.
